Brittany Boechler,
JRFSC Skating Director, Advanced Competitor Coach, USFS Coach, and Learn to Skate Coach
Brittany Boechler is proud to serve as the Director of the James River Figure Skating Club, where she's now in her 5th year as a coach.
A former skater with the club for 13 years, Brittany finds it incredibly rewarding to now coach at the same rink where her own skating journey began.
Outside the rink, Brittany works as a dedicated dental hygienist. She's been happily married to her husband, Derek, for 10 years, and is a proud mom to two busy kids- an 8-year-old daughter who has been skating for 4 years, and a 5-year-old son who just laced up his skates for hockey.
A true sports enthusiast, Brittany loves watching the Michigan Wolverines, cheering on all kinds of teams, and spending time outdoors. Whether she's hunting (and especially excited about her elk tag!) , Fishing at the lake, or fitting in a little shopping, Brittany brings energy and passion to everything she does.
Morgan Thoreson,
Advanced and Basic Skills Competitor Coach,
USFS Coach, and Learn to Skate Coach,
Coach Morgan joined the Jamestown Regional Figure Skating Club (JRFSC) coaching staff in 2022, starting as a Basic Skills coach and now working with both the Advanced Team and the Basic Skills Competition Teams. A proud JRFSC alumna, Morgan skated competitively and served as a junior coach with the club from 2005 to 2013.
After graduating high school, she attended the University of North Dakota, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Rehabilitation & Human Services in 2018. During her time at UND, Morgan stayed connected to the ice through multiple roles—skating with Team North Dakota Synchronized Skating Team, cheering with the UND Hockey Cheer Team, and participating in Kappa Delta Sorority. Her passion for performance led her to become the choreographer for the UND Hockey Cheer Team following graduation, a role she cherished until returning to Jamestown in 2020.
Morgan also contributed to the Border Blades Figure Skating Club in Grand Forks, helping with their Learn to Skate program and group classes. Her return to Jamestown marked the beginning of a new chapter, both personally and professionally. She became engaged on opening day of the 2022 show, got married during a memorable blizzard in 2023, and most recently, welcomed a new baby—all while being surrounded by the support of her JRFSC family.
For Morgan, skating has always been more than a sport—it’s a lifelong passion interwoven with unforgettable moments and meaningful connections. As a coach, she finds her greatest joy in watching her skaters grow in confidence and skill, and she’s inspired daily by their dedication and spirit.
Hannah Hynek,

Originally from Grand Forks, North Dakota, Hannah Hynek moved to Jamestown to attend the University of Jamestown, where she is currently a senior majoring in nursing and a member of the women’s soccer team. Hannah grew up skating competitively with the Border Blades Figure Skating Club and concluded her skating career as a proud double gold medalist.
She has been coaching with the Jamestown Regional Figure Skating Club for the past three years and finds great joy in working with young skaters—especially in building relationships and watching them grow both on and off the ice.
Outside of coaching, Hannah enjoys running, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and relaxing with a good movie.
